Whitney Houston Working on Remake of 'Sparkles' |

After 15 years away from the big screen, Whitney Houston is set to star in, and is the executive producer of, an updated version of the 1976 film Sparkles. The film is based on the story of Diana Ross and The Supremes and will co-star 'American Idol' winner Jordin Sparks and Cee Lo Green. R. Kelly is handling the soundtrack. The cast is currently filming in Detroit and the movie will be released in 2012.
