Toni Braxton Has Lupus |

Toni Braxton has revealed that she’s been struggling with lupus. The singer appeared at a Nov. 16 benefit in L.A. to raise awareness of the disease, telling the audience, “Take a look, this is what lupus looks like.” Lupus is a condition which causes the body’s immune system to attack healthy cells and tissue. Braxton later posted on her Twitter account, "Had a great time... A big moment for me. It was a tough decision to come out about it. But it was such a relief!" The Grammy-winner has also been a spokesperson for autism (her son Diesel, suffers from the disorder) and heart disease; in 2004, she was diagnosed with pericarditis, an inflammation of the lining of the heart.
