Stevie Wonder Advocates Books for the Blind |
| Sep 20 2010 |

Stevie Wonder is advocating for the blind and visually impaired by asking for more access to millions of books that they can’t read. Wonder was in Geneva, Switzerland this week to ask the U.N.’s World Intellectual Property Organization to allow copyrighted books to be translated into readable formats for people with disabilities. There are several proposals before the council; during his testimony, Wonder teased the diplomats, asking them to reach a solution for the 300 million people who “live in the dark” or “I’ll have to write a song about what you didn’t do.”
