Rod Stewart is giving Vegas a test-drive. After this summer’s successful tour, he’ll be performing a run of eight shows at Caesars Palace, starting in November. If it fits, Stewart will follow in the footsteps of Celine Dion, Cher and Bette Midler in establishing a resident act in Sin City. In a statement, the 65-year old singer explained, "For some years now, AEG Live has been wanting me to do a residency show in Vegas. I decided it was time to give it a try but I thought, 'First, let's try two weeks instead of two years, though.’ Who knows what this could lead to? I know that my band, background singers and I are going to enjoy performing in such an intimate setting and having the chance for the fans to be in close proximity while hearing all the hits."

Dates for Stewart’s limited engagement are Nov. 6, 7, 10, 14, 17, 18, 20 and 21.
