Paul Hardcastle's Secret Weapon |
| Nov 23 2010 |

Paul Hardcastle has always been one step ahead, whether with groundbreaking songs like “19” and “Rainforest,” or forming his own label way before anyone else was doing it. That feel for “what’s next” extends to his current hit album, Jazzmasters VI, with its single “Touch and Go” riding high on the charts. In an interview with Smooth Jazz Magazine, Hardcastle reveals that most of the tracks on the project were titled by his fans… via Facebook. “I put out some portions of tracks and they named them. Some of them I switched around, because I thought they fit another one better, but basically they named the songs…. I just love to be different... And I try to keep in touch with my fans in a daily sort of way; you know communicate with them. I love the chat talk…I’ve a direct access to the people that are really important. And I think that things like Facebook are absolutely brilliant. I love it; I really do.”
