Michael Jackson’s children appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show on Monday [Nov. 8] to share a little bit about life with the late King of Pop. His two eldest kids, 13-year old Prince and 12-year old Paris are living with their grandmother, Katherine Jackson, and adjusting to private school. Little brother “Blanket,” 8, is still being home-schooled. The AP reports that the children recalled how they didn’t mind being veiled when they went out in public, because they knew he was trying to protect them. Prince noted that he and his dad liked to take early morning beach walks, drinking Coke and eating candy. Paris said that he was a great cook and made “the best French toast in the world.”
Katherine Jackson tells Oprah that she was concerned over her son’s addiction to plastic surgery, and even asked one doctor to pretend to do an operation if the singer ever asked for another procedure.
A posthumous album from Jackson, who passed in 2009, is set for release in December, but controversy has been dogging the project. The first single, “Breaking News,” was just released online on Monday [Nov.8], but some have been questioning its authenticity, Jackson’s sister, LaToya, for one, thinks it might be a fake. She told TMZ.com, “I listened to it…It doesn’t sound like him.” Epic Records has issued a statement to put the rumors to rest saying, "We have complete confidence in the results of our extensive research as well as the accounts of those who were in the studio with Michael that the vocals on the new album are his own.”
