Mary J. Blige makes Shortlist for Original Song Oscar |

Mary J. Blige is one of thirty-nine artists who have made it through the first round of reviews for the Oscar's Original Song Award. Her tune "The Living Proof" featured in the film The Help is up for final consideration by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Music Branch on January 5. Several of the years biggest animated films have nominated songs as well, including Cars 2, The Muppets, Happy Feet Two and Rio. The 84th Academy Awards nominations will be announced January 24 and the Oscars will be presented on February 26.
