John Legend to Wake Up Live |

John Legend is gearing up to promote his upcoming project, Wake Up! which is out on Sept. 21. A series of live shows will kick off on Sept. 23 in New York and roll through December. The New York concert will be filmed by Spike Lee for a webcast, to stream on YouTube. Wake Up! Is Legend’s fourth album. In collaboration with the Roots, he covers vintage politically-themed songs from the 60s and 70s, plus offers up one original track. Legend is also scheduled to be honored in November by VH1’s Save the Music Foundation for his work supporting music programs nationwide.
