Jason Mraz' Blogs About Tour

Jason Mraz’ current tour isn’t standing in the way of his blogging. The singer has used his MySpace page to update fans on some of the behind the scenes details of the show, noting that the backdrop is made of recycled plastic and that they shop locally and make their own food while on the road. Mraz has also been waxing philosophical on why he loves performing, writing ,”No matter what’s going on in life – up or down – the best I ever feel, without a doubt, is when I’m onstage, in the middle of a show. From this place I might as well be on an island. There’s no chance I’ll be on the phone or make myself wrong for not responding to an email. There’s no way in hell any bad review or false claim could affect me from this space. Mid-show, especially under the spotlight is the quintessential NOW for any performer. There is no past - and the future clearly isn’t written yet.” He adds that he often reflects on how lucky he is to have made the leap from his former day job: “Musicians…are never too far away from our former jobs – meaning, if you didn’t create a space to listen, I may still be a night janitor at an elementary school. Don’t get me wrong. I loved the hours, the pay and the solitude, but I love being of service to the masses more than [to] ….K-5th grade little humans. Them beings can get messy.”  Mraz' next stop is tomorrow night [Sept. 24] in Starkville, MS.
