A golf club provided all the therapy that Janet Jackson needed after the death last year of her brother, Michael. In an interview with the UK’s Daily Record, the singer revealed that she was working on her latest movie, Tyler Perry’s ‘Why Did I Get Married Too?” when Jackson passed. A scene where she smashes up a house proved “cathartic”: “Bashing up that stuff with the golf club, I enjoyed that. I needed it and it came at the right time….I was really thankful for the opportunity to completely let go of some things, to just unleash.”
She adds that its still difficult to look at pictures of Michael, but “Life goes on. You have to as well. You can't just stop. It's not healthy.”
