Fourplay releases its newest project today [Oct. 26]. Let’s Touch the Sky is the first to feature Chuck Loeb, who took over the guitar chair after the departure earlier this year of Larry Carlton. “I want to be a part of the legacy they’ve built, going all the way back to their first recording and right up to their most recent one,” says Loeb. “There’s been an incredible level of quality in the musicianship, the writing, the whole sonic palette that they’re famous for. I’m excited to be a part of the next step in the evolution of all that.” Fourplay is composed of Loeb, keyboardist Bob James, bassist/vocalist Nathan East and drummer Harvey Mason. Let’s Touch The Sky is the follow-up to 2008’s Grammy-nominated Energy. The new album includes 11 tracks, with guest performances by Anita Baker and Ruben Studdard, who handles vocals on a cover of the classic "Love TKO."
