Birthday wishes to Euge Groove who will celebrate this Sunday, November 27. Born Steven Eugene Grove, in Hagerstown, Maryland, Euge's first public music performance was his second grade piano recital. He later switched to the saxophone and graduated from University of Miami School of Music in 1984. He has toured with Tina Turner, Joe Cocker, Richard Marx and Tower Of Power, among others and has recorded with artists as diverse as Paula Abdul, Elton John, Bonnie Raitt and Peter White. His latest album, S7ven Large from Shanachie Entertainment, features guests Peter White, Rick Braun and Jeff Golub. Euge will be performing tonight (November 25) at The Showroom in San Francisco and tomorrow at the Holiday Jazz Festival at the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe.
