Esperanza Spalding to Host TV Show |

Fresh off her Grammy nomination this week for Best New Artist, bassist/vocalist Esperanza Spalding is prepping to host a new TV show. PBS announced that Spalding will host Find the Beat, in which she’ll join a group, band or solo musician in exploring the roots of their music. That journey will include seeking out culural connections, authentic performers, musical history and more. Spalding is currently gearing up to appear with Prince on his “Welcome 2 America” tour and working on the follow-up to her current album, Chamber Music Society; Radio Music Society is slated for a spring 2011 release.
