Eric Darius Explains "Swagger" |
| Oct 21 2010 |

Eric Darius is getting his “swagger”” on with his current single, “Uptown Swagger” [from his just-released On A Mission album]. He shared the backstory on the sizzling track with Smoothviews.com. “James Lloyd of Pieces of a Dream has been a good friend of mine for years. We’ve always talked about the opportunity of recording together, but never had that chance [until now]. So he sent me several tracks that he had been working on, and there was one in particular that I just feel in love with, and it was 'Uptown Swagger.' He didn’t have a name for it yet…at the time it was just called 'C-Sharp Thingy!'" Darius adds that the song is one he knew from the start would be great in a live setting: "It just was so much fun recording this in the studio, like a party. I could just see myself performing this song on stage, even before recording it.” He’ll get a chance to show it off this weekend [Oct. 23] when he joins Rick Braun in Chicago.
