Eric Clapton To Release New Album |

Legendary guitarist Eric Clapton has announced the upcoming release of his first new album in five years. Clapton, his 19th solo studio project, is out September 28 on Reprise Records. The album will feature guest appearance by Wynton Marsalis, Sheryl Crow and Steve Winwood.
Clapton is pleased with how this latest disc turned out. In a statement, he said, "It's actually better than it was meant to be because, in a way, I just let it happen. It's an eclectic collection of songs that weren't really on the map-and I like it so much because if it's a surprise to the fans, that's only because it's a surprise to me, as well."
The guitarist has been doing dates all summer with fellow artist Jeff Beck.
