Happy Birthday to Daryl Hall who celebrates today (October 11). Born and raised in Pottstown, PA, outside of Philadelphia, Hall got his start working with famed writers/producers Gamble & Huff, while attending Temple University. He met John Oates while in college and the two formed Hall & Oates, signing their first recording contract in 1972. They are the top selling recording duo in music history. Hall just released a new solo album called Laughing Down Crying and his popular web show 'Live From Daryl's House' is now syndicated on TV. Hall & Oates will tour together later this year with the first date scheduled for November 28 in Englewood, NJ.
