Next week [Monday, Dec. 6] marks the 90th birthday of legendary pianist Dave Brubeck. To celebrate, Turner Classic Movies will premiere a new documentary, Dave Brubeck: In His Own Sweet Way. The film is co-produced by Clint Eastwood, who’s known Brubeck for years. Other artists featured include David Benoit, Sting, Bill Cosby and director George Lucas. Besides footage of Brubeck rehearsing for and performing at the 50th anniversary of the Monterery Jazz Festival in 2007, the film includes rare archival footage of him alongside legends like Duke Ellington and Louis Armstrong.
