Chaka Khan Talks Past Drug Problems |

Chaka Khan helped set the stage afire at this weekend's Essence Music Festival in New Orleans -- but she shared a candid moment with her fans during the set. After running through many of her hits, including "Aint Nobody," "Through the Fire" and "I'm Every Woman," Khan alluded to her struggles with drugs during the intro of another song. "The next song is a song I wrote but I don't remember writing it because I was high," she admitted about "Trouble Little Angel." "That was then, this is now, I'm seven years clean." Khan is currently planning several new projects, including an album of rock duets -- and a jazz standards record.
