Brian Culbertson’s current hit single, “That’s Life,” appears to have served as a way to reunite two big guitar talents. In an interview with smoothjazzdaily.com, he reveals that Earl Klugh and Ray Parker, Jr. helped him write the song, and both play on it. Culbertson also shares that the two men grew up together in Detroit. “Yeah, they met when Ray was 12 and Earl was 14. They got together when they were that age – sort of jamming together – but believe it or not, they had never collaborated together on record. It’s funny, on one of my [YouTube] video blogs I say ‘These guys grew up together in Detroit’ and then Ray says ‘Yeah and it took this white boy from Chicago to get us together!’   [Where's Brian on the charts this week?  Check it out here.]
