Basia Makes A Comeback |

One of the most distinctive voices in smooth jazz is poised to make a return, as Basia prepares to release a new live album followed by a series of concert dates in the U.S. Recorded this past June in her home country of Poland, Newport to London: Greatest Hits Live...and More is due out on Sept. 13. The album features her big hits, along with some new music, co-written by her longtime collaborator Danny White [brother of Peter]. “Since the release of our last studio album, Danny and I have spent a lot of time playing concerts, but we also had some time to write a few new songs. The result of all the touring is that we formed a tight, experienced band that deserved to be documented by recording one of our live shows along with the new songs, which we could not wait for our fans to hear,” said Basia. “It was not easy to choose the songs for the live show, but we tried to include songs from every album we have made so far. Danny and I are very proud of our band. Every one of them had their spot where they could shine and shine they did!” Fans can catch Basia and her band live when her month-long tour launches on Sept. 6 in Minneapolis.
