Gerry Rafferty, best known for his 1978 hit “Baker Street,” is reportedly fighting for his life after suffering kidney failure. The 63-year old singer, who has long struggled with alcoholism, has been on life support for the past few days in a British hospital. Doctors are hoping to transfer him to a London facility once his condition stabilizes, but are not hopeful about his chances of survival.
According to BMI, “Baker Street” has racked up over 5 million plays.
