The Queen of Soul is heading home for the holidays. Aretha Franklin released a statement saying that she is recovering well from her surgery and has been home for a few days. She has been having friends and family helping with her recovery along with a nurse that visits her daily. The AP also reports that the Queen of Soul hopes to see Dreamgirls in her hometown of Detroit over the holidays before the show run ends.
