Alicia Keys Raises Millions for Kids |

Alicia Keys isn’t letting the final stages of her pregnancy slow her down: her seventh annual Keep A Child Alive fundraising ball raised $2.4 million last week for her children’s charity. The event, held in New York on Sept. 30, featured performances by Keys, along with Sade and Jay-Z. Celebrities including Uma Thurman and Jennifer Hudson were also in attendance.
Keep A Child Alive generates funds for kids and families in Africa and India affected by HIV and AIDS. Keys told People magazine that she and husband Swiss Beatz intend to stress the importance of giving to their child. "The baby is going to see everything we do and I think that we are giving individuals. (Even) something small like reaching out to one person in the world can change that one person. That's a big deal. I plan to show that (to my child)."
